Big Sur Adventure Elopement Photographer
There is something so special about high school sweethearts. Brenda and Aaron are no exception. They have such a tender and loving relationship that you can tell is born out of knowing each other so well… They first met at 15 years old… They have moved together, tackled life’s challenges together, loved each other so well for years… And now, they have vowed to continue to love each other for the rest of their days. They also decided to say their vows during a Big Sur adventure elopement!
What is an Adventure Elopement Like?
Glad you asked! A Big Sur adventure elopement looks however the hell you want it to! Brenda and Aaron stayed at the lovely Carmel Valley Ranch, where I went to capture their getting ready photos and first look! They had spent the first part of the day together relaxing and by the time I came in the afternoon, they were so ready and excited to elope! We headed out to Big Sur and decided to take some time exploring some really cool spots that not many tourists ever get to see. Rather than have a spot selected for their vows, they decided to wait until they were adventuring around to realize: THIS is the spot where we want to pledge our lives! They found the perfect spot on a secluded cliff and after they sealed their union with a kiss, we ventured on further! We had to stop and check out the last blooms of the calla lilies and they even toasted with champagne on the beach! It was perfection.
How to Find the Right Adventure Elopement Photographer
My biggest piece of advice? Make sure whoever you hire to be your adventure elopement photographer, feels like an old friend that you trust implicitly. You will be exploring a wild and wonderful area. You need this person to know the location inside and out. For example, Big Sur has no cell reception, and it can be a dangerous place. I like to make sure I know how comfortable all my clients are with heights, poison oak, and rocky terrain so that I can plan their elopement accordingly. There are many elements to consider when planning a Big Sur adventure elopement, and whoever you hire to be your elopement photographer, really needs to know our diverse area well!
